We still don't understand how it works.

When we saw David Penn perform this in Blackpool, none of us could believe what we were seeing. Based on how quickly it sold out, neither could anyone else. 

Digital Penetration was one of the highlights of the world's largest magic convention this year, and now it's looking for a spot in your close-up act. 

You present a unique-looking box to a your spectator. It has a hinge on one side, and has a small square hole on the top and bottom. The hole on top is covered with a small flap. You pop open the flap and show that, a die will perfectly fit in the hole, and will fall straight through the case. 

That shouldn't happen if there was something blocking its way though. Right? 

You borrow a phone from a spectator and place it securely in the box. You close the lid, and open the top flap. The screen is clearly visible. Atop that screen you once again place a single die. As predicted, it sits on the phone and doesn't fall through. 

But then, you ask the spectator to hold out their hands. You hold the box over their outstretched palms as you begin applying a little bit of pressure to the die. 

It starts to melt through their screen. After a second or two, the die falls squarely into their hands. You open the box back up, showing their phone is still inside and completely unharmed.
