Joe Canning event at Kennys Bookshop
in conversation with Joe Connolly

Galway hurling legend Joe Canning will be at Kennys Bookshop for a special conversation event on Friday, November 15th, talking to another Galway hurling legend Joe Connolly about his new biography, Joe Canning: My Story.

Joe Canning is a five-time All-Star hurler who won a senior All-Ireland medal for Galway in 2017 and earned the Hurler of the Year Award. Joe Connolly was twice an All-Ireland runner-up and captained Galway to win the All-Ireland Hurling Final in 1980.

Current exhibition at The Kenny Gallery

An exhibition of over 40 new pastels and 20 copper sculptures by Galwegian brothers Patsy and Gay Farrell is now on at Kennys.

Patsy's work focuses the inspiration he draws from Connemara and the streets of Galway, while Gay's sculptures are characterized by their simplicity and fluidity.

The exhibition includes paintings of Galway city centre and Connemara, as well as copper sculptures of musicians and buskers, amongst others.
