Six decades don’t come up for auction twice.

The oldest Grange in the sale, and one of the oldest you’ll find at auction anywhere. This is Grange from an era before the label carried its now legendary status - a genuine piece of Australian wine history, cellared and ready for a serious collection or a vertical tasting nobody else can replicate. It’s also a birth year wine for anyone turning 60 this year. Bottles this old rarely surface, and almost never in this condition.

Released to mark 60 years since Mount Edelstone’s first vintage - a fitting centrepiece for a sale built around six decades of Australian wine. Henschke needs no introduction, and this anniversary bottling is as collectible as it is drinkable. Unreserved, and already well contested.

A boutique, single-vineyard Shiraz from Eden Valley - the same patch of South Australia that produces Hill of Grace. Autumnus is a name serious collectors already watch closely, made in small volumes with real vineyard character. At $125 and unreserved, it’s one of the smartest entry points into cult Eden Valley Shiraz in the whole sale.

A serious line-up of Japanese whisky, rare cognac and vintage port headlines the Premium Ports & Spirits sale - aged single malts from Yamazaki, Nikka and Macallan, sitting alongside prestige spirits from around the world.

Named after the father of Japanese whisky himself, this 21-year-old single malt from Nikka is deep, complex, and getting harder to find at this age statement every year. Currently sitting at $800 with no reserve and only one bid - for a whisky this rare, that’s an opening most collectors won’t see twice.

Japan’s original single malt distillery, and still the benchmark everyone else is measured against. Distiller’s Reserve is Yamazaki’s flagship pour - mizunara oak, dried fruit, a whisper of smoke. Virtually unobtainable on shelves right now, and unreserved here.

One of Macallan’s most coveted limited releases, prized as much for its collectible packaging as for what’s in the bottle. It’s carried a reserve in past sales - this time it’s unreserved, and bidding already reflects it.
