We’ve had a couple of massive album announcements this week. Like, truly massive.

• The Rolling Stones have finally unveiled their new album, arriving in a wide range of formats
• Ariana Grande returns with a brand-new solo album after an incredible run in the world of film and musicals with the Wicked phenomenon

The Stones made a completely extraordinary comeback almost three years ago with the album Hackney Diamonds. And thankfully, it wasn’t a one-off, because it’s now official that they’re back with a brand-new album this July — after their white label single under the name The Cockroaches sparked intense rumours about a month ago.

The album Foreign Tongues features contributions from Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith and Chad Smith. And Charlie Watts also makes a very special guest appearance, with a recording taken from one of his final studio sessions before his passing in 2021.

The album will be released in a wide range of formats, including deluxe box sets on both vinyl and CD, as well as 2LP green vinyl, standard black vinyl, and a standard CD.

Out July 10.

After a couple of detours into the world of film and musicals with two hugely successful Wicked movies — and equally successful soundtracks — pop superstar Ariana Grande returns with a proper new solo album. An album centred around renewal and the idea of "blooming" despite challenging circumstances.

We’re offering the album on CD and in two coloured vinyl editions: an indie-exclusive edition on classic white vinyl, and another pressed on transparent pearl-white vinyl.

Out July 31.

There’s no sign of fatigue from these hard rock legends, even as they approach their 60th anniversary as a band. They’re more restless and productive than ever. And now they’ve just announced a brand-new album, only two years after their latest. According to the band themselves, the new album SPLAT! will be their heaviest in many years.

SPLAT! will be available in a generous handful of formats: a limited deluxe box set (2LP, CD, 3x10", 1x7"), purple vinyl, transparent yellow vinyl, standard black vinyl, and CD.

Out July 3.

In 2025, Simply Red celebrated four decades of classic hits and timeless music with a 40th anniversary world tour. Now the band is documenting the unforgettable tour with Holding Back the Years: 40 Years of Simply Red – Live in Santiago.
