VOLUME 1 BACK IN PRINT!

The Old Galway Diary Volume 1 by Tom Kenny and Ronnie O'Gorman has just been reprinted, and is now available to order at Kennys along with Volume 2.

Tom Kenny and the late Ronnie O'Gorman collaborated on a weekly column on Old Galway in the Galway Advertiser newspaper for over 50 years, and these volumes are a selection of their stories and photographs from over the years.

This reprint coincides with the opening of Tom Kenny's Old Galway - The Streets of Galway exhibition at Kennys next week,

About the Books

Through the medium of photography and history, Tom Kenny and Ronnie O’Gorman told stories of their native Galway in the Galway Advertiser each week for over 50 years. Galway has a great story to tell. A selection of photographs and stories from these weekly columns republished in these volumes hopefully invites the reader to engage with our past, to go back in time and to see the path which has led us to the Galway we all enjoy today. These books area selection of those stories.

NEW EXHIBITION OF OVER 40 PHOTOGRAPHS
OFFICIAL OPENING NEXT WEEK!

Following a highly successful exhibition in 2023, Tom Kenny returns with a new collection of more than 40 blown-up photographs featuring the streets of Galway city from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The selected images — candid, unposed depictions of Galway City’s streets, markets, shops, workers, and everyday life offer an intimate and unfiltered look at a city and its people.

The exhibition will launch at Kennys next Friday 9th and run for four weeks.All are welcome - don't miss it!
