Vinyl collectors have plenty to look forward to in October - especially if you’re into classic rock. Not only is it Rocktober, but National Album Day also arrives in October with Rock being the overaching theme this time! As usual, both events bring a host of exclusive vinyl releases, and you can now reserve your favorites below.

Rock also features heavily among this week’s other new pre-orders. Fans of The Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy, and The Who can look forward to luxurious deluxe box sets. But there’s something for everyone, from K-pop via the Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack, to pop from Norwegian pop star Sigrid, and electronic music from IDM legend Aphex Twin.

National Album Day is an annual vinyl event aimed at highlighting the album as a format – the idea of appreciating a work in its entirety. This is celebrated through a series of special reissues, many on colored vinyl, and both iconic albums and newer gems are represented. This year’s theme is “Rock”, and you can get your hands on stunning new vinyl editions from Queen, Patti Smith, Judas Priest, Elvis, Ghost, Oceansize, Lou Reed, and many others.

We haven’t received pre-order info on all of this year’s releases yet, but you can click on the missing titles and sign up to be notified when they become available.

The Super Deluxe editions include a wealth of previously unreleased outtakes, a live recording from their 1976 Earls Court show, a never-before-released TV performance from Paris, and a new Dolby Atmos mix. Additionally, they include a 100-page hardcover book and a poster from the Paris show.

A 7-disc CD box set celebrating two of the band’s most pivotal albums. Night Life and Fighting were the albums that introduced what many consider Thin Lizzy’s classic twin-guitar lineup with Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson.

This deluxe box set presents both albums with their original mixes and new 2024 mixes (only selected tracks on Fighting have new mixes). It also includes a wealth of B-sides, outtakes, demos, alternate takes, BBC sessions, instrumental versions, and a complete show from Derby in 1975, for the first time released in concert form.

The entire collection comes in a beautiful 10" x 10" box with a 40-page hardcover booklet.

New 2025 editions of the album that would become the band’s final studio album with Keith Moon. Available in various formats, including an extensive 8-disc CD/Blu-ray box set featuring the remastered album, demos, outtakes, tour soundchecks, and more. Also available as a 4LP, 2CD, and half-speed mastered single LP.

Out 31 October.

CD/Blu-ray deluxe editions of two King Crimson classics. Features new Dolby Atmos mixes and new elemental mixes by David Singleton, plus additional mixes on the Blu-ray disc.

Lizard is also released on vinyl with the new elemental mixes.
