Hayward’s has another of our popular Vintage, Antique & Collectable timed online auctions set up and ready for viewing and with almost 900 lots of antique, vintage, retro and more modern items, you’ll be sure to find something exciting. Bidding starts at 5:00pm today, Thursday the 30th of July with the first lots closing on Tuesday the 4th at 6:00pm.
Where to start? Costume brooches, pearl necklaces and bracelets, silver and gold jewellery with paua shell, opal, turquoise, garnet, topaz, diamond, ruby and other stones, Wade whimsies, Beswick Beatrix Potter figurines and a wonderful assortment of Swarovski crystal figurines, ornaments and wristwatch. Chinese decorative items include cloisonne, carved miniatures, pottery figures and teapots, floral chargers, vases, camphorwood chests, dragon themed brass plaque, floor rugs etc.
We have New Zealand and Australian studio pottery from Mirek Smisek, Lee Le Grice, Christopher Clouston, Henrietta Hume, Toni Walker, O.C. Stephens and others. Blue Mountain, Hanmer, Peter Raos, Hoglund and other art glass paperweights and vases, uranium glass, a retro mermaid decanter set, moulded ruby, amber, blue and other glass, Waterford, Stuart and Webb-Corbett crystal.
Great range of vintage and retro table ware including Midwinter Sienna, Masons Regency, Royal Doulton Hamilton, Severn Border and Rose Elegans dinner sets, a fantastic Portmeirion Totem green-glaze coffee set, Royal Doulton, vintage Imari, 1970s Hutschenreuther and other display plates, Belle Fiore, Charlotte Rhead Bursley Ware, Sylvac and Staffordshire dogs, Grimwades Byzanta ware, carnival glass, Susie Cooper polka-dot trios and our usual wide assortment of fine china tea and coffee ware.
Fantastic retro and mid-century furniture includes a large Ladderax teak and mixed timber wall unit, sleek mahogany mirror back 6 drawer dresser with built-in bubble-glass lamp and a matching 4 drawer lowboy, open-arm lounge chairs and a pair of Danish style bent beech framed armchairs. There’s a vintage Tibetan pine cabinet with intricate decoration, Victorian dining tables and chairs, velvet-upholstered walnut settee, Baltic pine trunk, fireside, bedroom and lounge chairs, gate-leg tables, arts & crafts hall stand, Edwardian rimu bookcase chiffonier, oak art nouveau dresser, Victorian chests of drawers, Cutler wave roll desk, a colonial mahogany clerks desk.
You’ll find Dimple and Johnnie Walker whisky and lots of wine including Penfolds Grange Hermitage, Te Mata Coleraine, Two Paddocks pinot noir, even a bottle of Central Otago pinot signed by Colin Meads. Books include a large Taschen volume of the complete works of Michelangelo and Capper Press reprints from the Otago Centennial series of local histories, a 2003 National Geographic magazine with map signed by Edmund Hillary.
Welsh wool blankets, Sterling silver spoons, bone-handled knives, a carved speculaas mold, cast metal and carved wood book-ends, brass shell casings, taxidermy birds, fish and crocodile, Singer miniature hand-crank sewing machine, Tibetan brass bells and ornaments, fire dogs, wood and coal buckets and scuttles.
