The inaugural Readings Big Book Club

In collaboration with Cinema Nova and the University of Melbourne, we are delighted to bring thinkers and readers together for the inaugural five-part Readings Big Book Club exploring Homer's The Odyssey.
Taking place from June 18, each session of the Readings Big Book Club will include a lecture from a leading academic, followed by audience discussion – hosted by The Monthly editor, Michael Williams.
In the final session, members will enjoy an early screening of Christopher Nolan’s epic adaptation of The Odyssey.

To inspire you, we're sharing some recommended reads, including a cosy read, a collection of galvanising poetry, a funny read, and a book our staff can't stop raving about.
